Kathryn Anderson

Managing Partner, Houston

Kathryn graduated cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center and was admitted to the Texas bar in 2001. She spent the first six years of her career at a mid-sized Houston litigation firm.  During those years, she handled a wide range of cases including environmental contamination, premises liability, trucking cases, insurance coverage analysis and litigation, appellate, and of course auto liability claims. She obtained both first and second chair trial experience in the auto, trucking, premises liability and commercial property management arenas. In 2007, she launched the firm in order to provide quality legal services at a lower cost.  Kathryn has received an AV peer rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating of professional excellence and ethics. When not working, Kathryn loves to travel. She doesn't enjoy running, but she does it anyway.

Jason Truitt

Partner, Houston

Jason was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2000. He is a two time Baylor graduate with a B.A. and J.D. from the University.  Prior to joining the firm in 2008, he litigated and tried a wide array of cases ranging from intellectual property and partnership disputes to personal injury claims arising from property defects and automobile accidents. Jason has focused his practice on litigating and trying third-party cases on behalf of the firm’s insurance clients.  He has a reputation for trying cases and a strong record of defense verdicts and verdicts below the settlement demands of opposing counsel.

Carrie Garcia Sanders

Carrie Is a 2003 Baylor Law graduate and a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2000! Whoop! She is licensed in Texas and Mississippi and practices in both State and Federal Court. She has worked in-house for State Farm, GEICO, and United Auto, and as outside counsel for Progressive, along with many other non-standard, commercial, and auto carriers.  Her practice areas include medical malpractice, auto and trucking, personal injury litigation, general civil litigation, premises, products and workplace litigation. Former clients include Pioneer Natural Resources, Swift and Aldi.  She has tried over 50 cases before a jury.  She lives in east Dallas with her husband and 3 rescue cocker spaniels and a recently inherited shih-tzu. She enjoys supporting the local music community, as well as touring musicians. She works with the Dallas Bar Association to serve as a Judge for the Texas Mock Trial Competition every year.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for Artist and Musicians in Recovery, a DFW based non-profit.

William "Bill" Alexander, Jr.

Senior Associate, Dallas

Bill graduated from the University of Nebraska Law School in 1988.  He also has an LL.M (Tax) from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, which he obtained by attending classes at night after trying cases during the day for a large international insurance defense firm.   He has been an insurance defense litigator most of his professional career, and has worked on numerous high-profile cases.  He has handled environmental, premises liability, product liability, commercial, medical malpractice, accountant’s malpractice and legal malpractice matters, as well as personal injury defense cases.  He has worked in-house for a several insurance companies as their trial counsel and has tried numerous cases to juries in the various jurisdictions that comprise the DFW Metroplex.  He has also successfully argued cases on appeal including in the Texas Supreme Court.  He is licensed to practice both in Texas and California, as well as the respective federal courts and the U.S. Tax Court. He comes to us with over 30 years of litigation experience.

Danielle Valdez

Associate, Houston

Danielle was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2017. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Texas A&M, she went on to South Texas College of Law. During law school she was on the executive board for the Hispanic Law Student Association and participated in intramural mock trials. She has been practicing for 4 years, focusing on civil litigation.  Danielle has an enthusiasm for the courtroom and the practice. Danielle is fluent in Spanish. She is active with the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston.

Melissa Romero

Melissa is a native Spanish speaker and Houstonian who graduated from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law and was admitted to the State bar in 2019.  While at Thurgood, Melissa was on the Dean’s List and participated in the school’s legal clinic, where she honed her skills for litigation and zealous client representation. Prior to joining the firm, Melissa practiced in the areas of immigration and personal injury law and was former in-house defense counsel for United Auto Insurance Services.

Jeremy Foltz

Of Counsel, North Carolina

Jeremy Foltz is a graduate of North Carolina State University and the University of Houston Law Center. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2001 and the North Carolina bar in 2015. Jeremy spent most of his career working as staff counsel at Nationwide Insurance in Houston where he tried approximately 30 cases (both jury and bench trials) and developed strong working relationships with opposing counsel and claims professionals.   He recently added juvenile delinquency defense to his practice. He and his wife are the parents of two amazing boys.  Jeremy excels at researching and writing and therefore, he is a huge asset for the firms' motions' practice and appellate work.

Aissa I. Garza graduated from St. Mary’s Law School and became licensed in Texas State Courts and the Western District of Texas Federal Courts in 2010. Since then, she has become a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. In October 2020, Aissa became a mother for the first time and is loving every moment of it - even the 3am feedings.
